A 5-Week Journey to Discover an Extraordinary Life in an Ordinary World
Life was never meant to be merely ordinary.
Join us for a 5-week journey through Love Does as we discover how God invites us into a life filled with joy, purpose, adventure, and love. Through inspiring stories, videos, and meaningful conversations, we'll explore what it means to put faith into action and live with open hands and open hearts.
This experience is based on the book Love Does by Bob Goff and is designed for anyone who wants to grow in faith and experience the fullness of life God has for them.
Faith is meant to be shared in community. That's why this group welcomes participants from First UMC and neighboring churches, creating a vibrant and diverse space where everyone can learn, connect, and grow together. All are welcome!
What to Expect Each Week
We'll meet online and in-person for a relaxed, engaging time that includes:
- Short video sessions
- Guided discussion
- Real-life application
- Encouragement and community
- Opportunities to practice living out what we're learning
Week 1: I'm With You
Discover how being fully present can change relationships and open doors for God to work.
Week 2: Free to Fall
Learn how fear and perfectionism can hold us back—and how God invites us to live with courage.
Week 3: Audacious Love
Explore the joy, wonder, and adventure that faith brings into everyday life.
Week 4: Be Not Afraid
Learn to trust God more deeply and embrace uncertainty with confidence.
Week 5: Follow Me
Discover practical ways to love others with grace, compassion, and generosity.

Books are recommended but not required. You're absolutely welcome to join without them—and if you need help obtaining a copy, we're happy to gift one to you!
