The Good Life: Stewardship Campaign 2026

The First UMC Elgin Stewardship Campaign for 2026 is centered on a hopeful message from Jesus: "The Good Life." The good life isn't about having more or worrying less; it's about becoming more—more rooted in Christ, more generous in spirit, and more alive in our faith. As Jesus said, "I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly" (John 10:10b).

Our Core Message: The Joy of Generous Living

The abundant life is available to us, even when the world feels uncertain. Our core message is discovering the joy of living generously—because the good life isn't about having more, it's about becoming more.

This campaign inspires our congregation to live "The Good Life," a life of simplicity, generosity, purpose, and legacy. This is rooted in our Wesleyan call to offer our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.

Grow One Step: Deepening Your Discipleship

Disciple-ship is simply the journey of growing closer to God. It can feel overwhelming, but we believe God is inviting each of us to take one, single step forward. We call this Grow One Step.

To help you move toward that deeper, abundant life, we are focusing on growing in discipleship. The table shows the five Wesleyan areas of commitment. Read the reflection, then choose your ONE NEXT STEP forward.

Make Your Commitment for 2026

Every single offering—no matter the amount—is a blessing that fuels our ministry, our missions, and our commitment to the community of Elgin. Your commitment is a vital planning tool that allows our church leadership to budget faithfully for the year ahead.

Our campaign concludes on Consecration Sunday, November 23rd, 2025.
