Melvin J. Ihrke Scholarship Application
The Melvin J. Ihrke Scholarship Fund is established in honor of the late Melvin J. Ihrke. The scholarship fund will assist students who are members of First United Methodist of Elgin or are part of the First UMC Elgin Community and face financial barriers to higher education. The scholarship will be made available to persons preparing to attend a college, university, or institution of higher learning and those already enrolled in college or graduate school study. The scholarship will be announced and awarded to a college or graduate school student in July.

Lee & Lydia Robertson Scholarship Application
Lee Robertson established the Lee and Lydia Robertson Scholarship in memory of his late wife, Lydia. In 2021, Lee passed away, leaving his legacy in the Lee and Lydia Robertson Scholarship. The fund will assist students who are members of First United Methodist of Elgin or are part of the First UMC Elgin Community and working diligently toward a baccalaureate degree. Each year, the scholarship will be awarded to a student preparing to attend or who currently attends a community college, college, or university.
