END THE INJUSTICE OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND ENSLAVEMENT

The issue of human trafficking has been a focus of United Methodist Women worldwide for over a decade. United Methodist Women will continue to work for the rights of those exploited by this cruel trade and end this all-too-prevalent form of modern-day slavery. UMW are active in the fight against human trafficking by raising awareness of the problem through disseminating educational materials, videos, and other resources, by taking action through participating in marches or protests, and by taking political action through collecting signatures to urge congressional representatives to pass legislation to federally prosecute traffickers and to provide aid to victims.
